About Us

“What does the Lord require of you? To seek justice and love kindness and walk humbly with your God.” ~ Micah 6:8

At Allisonville Christian Church, the words from the prophet Micah are more than just words on a page – they lay claim to and capture our mission, our purpose, our statement of faith and give vision for a way of life. Each week, we seek to engage our faith in worship and action to spread God’s love in our world.

Each member is invited in making this world a better place; to be a vessel through which God’s love can be experienced. A first-time visitor, or cornerstone member, the mission’s the same: be and share God’s love. There is a place for at the Table, and in the life of Allisonville Christian Church.

We are also a member congregation of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), the first new church movement founded on American soil in the 19th century.

We strive to live the principle: “In essentials unity, in non-essentials freedom, and in all things love.” The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) has been one of the leaders in the quest for Christian Unity. You are invited to come and explore your faith with us here at Allisonville Christian Church.

Our Mission

The mission of Allisonville Christian Church is to celebrate, teach, live and share the gospel of Jesus Christ toward God’s transforming of the Word.

Our Missional Scripture (Micah 6:8)

“What does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God.”

Our Vision

Our Strategy

We will realize this vision through:

  • Worship that is authentic and joyful,
  • Prayer that is faithful and honest,
  • Small groups that nurture, connect and teach,
  • Organizational structure and leadership that empower and equip,
  • Mission and service that walk the way of Jesus, and,
  • Evangelism that is inviting, intentional and contagious.
