On the Road to Centennial: A Brief History of Allisonville Christian Church was a document produced with loving care by Margaret Duvall Herrin during our 100th year celebration in 1996.
Filled with the history of our movement and our church, it serves as a brief introduction into who we are, where we came from and how we arrived to the our current location on Allisonville Road in Indianapolis.
“It was in this time and near this place that our story unfolds. But a history is much more than time and place. It is an intimate look into the lives of people. Be necessity, due to passage of time, it is at best just a glimpse. But sometimes that is just enough for the viewer to round out his version of ‘the way it was.’” (MDH, p.11)
