About the event

Join us for our May Allisonville Forum with David Miner. A light dinner (black beans and rice, salad, fruit, water) will be offered at 6:30pm, with the forum beginning at 7pm.

Dave received a BS and Ph.D. in Chemistry and had a 28-year career at Eli Lilly and Co. His final role was as a senior executive for Elanco.

As a ‘full time volunteer’ Dave has provided leadership for multiple organizations working to end hunger. He has been active with Bread for the World for many years at the local and national level, leading efforts in Indiana, and serving on the national Board of Directors, including six years as chair of the board.

Dave was founding President of Indy Hunger Network, helped found the Good Wages Initiative, serves on the board of Christian Theological Seminary, and was board chair for the Alliance to End Hunger. He has become a leading expert on hunger in Indianapolis, heading up six major studies of hunger and food assistance. He helped produce the recent documentary, The Working Hungry. In 2014, he received the Jefferson Award for Community Service.

Dave and his wife Robin have four children, two granddaughters, and two cats. They are active at Central Christian Church.
