No matter what chapter of your faith journey you're on, Immersion is for you.
What can I expect at dinner church?
We'll gather for a meal at 5pm - serve yourself in our kitchen, and grab a seat in our fellowship hall. No objectives for conversation around dinner, but we'll have some ice breaker questions on the table that are fun. Because we're tired of icebreaker questions that sound like, "So what do you do for work?"
At 5:30pm, we'll shift to a guided conversation around a passage of a book. You don't need to read the book ahead of time, we'll have a selection from the book (a page or less) printed out and ready to share after dinner. Someone will read the selection out loud, and we'll take a few moments to reflect individually on what was just read out loud. Then, we'll move to a guided conversation. You can expect questions like:
How did this make us feel?
What was exciting? What are we unsure of?
How does this invite us to reconsider how to "be" church?
Our theme for September, October, and November is "Reimagining How to "Be" Church"
Because that's what Immersion is striving to do - Reimagine how we can be church together.
We'll wrap up with conversation around 6pm, and ask for help cleaning up if you are willing and able (washing dishes, putting away tables and chairs, vaccuming)
And, we'll have copies of that month's book available if you like what we read and you'd like to read more!

What should I wear?
There is no dress code for Immersion - be comfortable and be you.
What kind of food do you have?
Our meals vary, but we always strive to have vegetarian, gluten-free, and dairy-free options based on current meal accommodations in our community.
When do you me?
Do you livestream?
Unfortunately, we currently do not livestream worship at this time. Allisonville's 9:30am and 11am worship services are livestreamed via Facebook and YouTube.
When and where do you meet?
We meet at 7701 Allisonville Road in Indianapolis, 46250 on the Second Sunday of each month at 5pm. For the remainder of 2026, those dates are: September 13, October 11, and November 8.
